About UK Internet Report
UK Internet Report is an independent project exploring how much of the Internet can be discovered, measured and visualised from ordinary network observations.
The project
The project began as a way of independently observing Internet connectivity and network behaviour. Its current incarnation focuses on topology discovery: collecting traceroute observations, identifying visible routers and connections, and turning that data into a persistent visual map.
The aim is not to produce an authoritative directory of every device on the Internet. Instead, the report records what has actually been observed and preserves snapshots showing how that view changes over time.
Independent
The project is independently operated and is not intended to represent any ISP, cloud provider or network operator.
Historical
Daily artwork snapshots are retained so that changes in the visible topology can be compared over longer periods.
