About the completion estimate
The completion figure is a simple linear projection based on the recent rate at which previously unseen IPv4 addresses are being added to the report.
It is best treated as an interesting rate indicator rather than a prediction. Discovery speed changes, routes overlap, large parts of IPv4 space are reserved or privately used, and not every address will ever be observable through Internet traceroutes.
